Work piles up endlessly on my desk as I toil away on Pixelart that doesn't pay the bills or do my taxes.
Having spent easily 6 hours on Pixelart in the past week I have to ask what is it about Pixelart that keeps me so hooked? In general I think Pixelart is pretty overlooked. Aside from those that practice it I haven't seen much recognition in the "real world" or, for that matter, even in online art/design communities.
Partly the appeal of Pixelart is it's simplicity. I control every aspect of the final product, pixel by pixel, without the use of filters or tools that add automatic gradients. It seems to be, for me, the purest form of visua

I have to admit something. Adding a note to this journal is not within my normal motivations.
I really thought this function was quite silly. That is, until I realized how strong of a community there was around here. It's only been a week that I've posted any of my doodles but I can tell I'm already hooked.
